Opening Hours vary from week to week due to other farm commitments, Shows or we may even take the occasional holiday so please check before you visit. Opening hours are updated at the start of each week.

From Bury St Edmunds- Leave the A14 at the Beyton turning (Junction 46).  Turn Left at the bottom of the slip Road. Take your next right sign posted ‘The Planche’ , then take your next right signed posted Hollow Lane. Stay on this road for about a mile and a half until you go round an ‘s’ bend and on the left is a long farm track with a field full on chickens and sheep next to it and a farm yard at the bottom we are just down here.

From Stowmarket- Leave the A14 at the turning for Beyton (junction 46). Turn left at the bottom of the slip road towards Tostock. Take your next left into Tostock, drive past the Green and take your next left which is Hollow lane. Stay on this road for about a mile until you see a field full of chickens and a farm track on you right We are just down here.


Terms and Conditions of- sale

  • We do not reserve birds they are sold on a first come first served basis. We can take your details  and notify you of when stock may become available but this is not a guarantee that the birds will be held for you.
  • Because chickens are sociable birds, we will not for welfare reasons sell less than two birds to a customer.
  • ·We will never knowingly sell a sick or injured bird. You have 1 week to notify us of any problems.  Our hybrid birds and purebreeds have undergone a thorough vaccination programme; we can therefore confidently guarantee these birds for 2 weeks from the date of sale against diseases vaccinated against.  We will offer refund or replacement on evidence of illness/ post-mortem or blood test from a registered Veterinary Surgeon confirming evidence of this.  We will not accept responsibility for extra expenses incurred.  We cannot accept responsibility for the loss or illness of birds caused by viruses transmitted by wild birds, your existing or previous flock or loss or illness caused by poor flock management. We also cannot offer replacement for any unknown medical condtions.  If you have any doubts about looking after your hens please do not hesitate to contact us, we are more than happy to help. We are always there to offer support and advice but cannot offer any replacements or refunds after the 2 week from sale period regardless of condition.
  • · With homebred young grower birds we can be fairly certain of sex and these are always guaranteed for 4 months after purchase. If have a suspicion you have a cockerel please let us know as soon as possible so we can rectify the mistake and offer a replacement or refund.
  • · We cannot accept any cockerels back from hatching eggs sold. You must be aware that a proportion of the eggs you hatch will be male and you must be able to care for them.
  • · When you collect your birds please bring a suitable carrying case with plenty of ventilation cardboard boxes or cat carriers are ideal. There may be a charge for boxes if you do not have one.
  • · Payment is required on collection by Cash/ card. The welfare of our birds is of utmost importance to us.  If we have any concerns about your ability to care for the birds appropriately then we reserve the right to refuse a sale.
